In this case, they are referring to the halo being a CCFL instead of a plastic ring lit by LEDs.

Is this the kit you guys are talking about? I have a set of lights i bought off ebay not sure what but they fit horribly i have major gaps. Do you guys space these out your self's or are you seeing a nice direct fit? Also can i buy an HID kit for these lights? Im guessing its gonna be a bulb size of H1?

Three pegs on the back of the lights - two are adjustments (left/right and up/down). The bottom center one is just the pivot point, however it has a philips screw head. Loosen it a bit and it will push the bottom of the light outward and fill the bumper gap. I adjusted mine about 1/4 inch and it filled in the gap nicely.

The way the headlights mount in these cars though it is hard to not have a gap. Even the stock lights leave gaps.

Mine were fine the whole time I had them, except for the mishap I had that cracked the bracket and scuffed the lens.

surfsideracing808- yes going back to the stock headlights. my HID's were so much better and never had a problem. i always see them on here, like the smoked stock headlight i thought you can buy, but a guy on here makes them. smoked lights go with all camaros and look bad ***, either that or just stock... i just want my HID's!
my last 2 sets i bought (me) and (pops's lincoln) from automotivelightingusa.com not a bad price and good people! 6000k looks the best out of all.

whats wrong with that? they are way better
on the lights i have now it says it will void the warranty if i put HID's in it
i could care less about that, i was afraid of melting the projector style bulb with the HID's no? and i was told it was pointless

HIDs need to be in projectors, otherwise the light is just puked out all over the place and you blind other people.

35W HIDs won't melt anything on the Sonars. Not sure on 55W, never bothered trying that.

Problems with HID in the stock reflector housings:
1) 35W HID is nearly the same lumen output as a 65W halogen high beam. 55W HID is almost 1.5x-2x the brightness.
2) HID bulbs have a different focal point than halogen bulbs.

Add those together and you have high-beam light being thrown all over, causing glare to other drivers. Some have said they can see almost like they had their high beams on... Well, yeah that's the problem, think of how nice it is to have oncoming traffic coming at you with high beams on. Granted, the reflector design is a little different so it isn't quite the same, but it isn't far from it.

Please don't be one of those people.

Alright then what's a good projector light assembly to buy because these sonar ones are cheap crap don't fit correctly and you cant see 10 feet infront so do I risk my own life not being able to.see or just be obnoxious to other drivers

If they are so bad I'd return them for a replacement, since they shouldn't be that bad.

Here's what mine looked like. The one wasn't fully straight because of prior front end damage from before I got the car.

But anyway, you're putting yourself in a false dilemma... It isn't different projectors or HID in stock housings. You can put the stock lights back in, with decent halogen bulbs, and leave it at that. You don't need HID to see properly.

Another option (which I plan on doing) is do a projector retrofit on your stock lights. The Morimoto mini H1 from the retrofit source is relatively easy to install. Yes, it takes some work to open the lights and mount it, but it doesn't take near as much hacking as a standard projector retrofit. And the light output is great, better that the Sonars for sure. I have a set of those projectors that I've been working with for another vehicle and they are pretty sweet. They don't break the bank either.

ok understandable, your lights seem to be better than mine just by looking at your pics. did you do anything to the blocking plate before you put them in?

on the stock beam mine seems uneven when the regular bulbs are in,
to late to send back its been a year already, bought them in winter time on sale and didnt put them in till i brought the car out.

thanks for the info though.

and who you calling a troll bad408vert? hope it isnt me.
