My link above should give the info you need, because Coastal includes there Bonus Kit Equipment it's probably one of the best places to order one from.

willis 00, I think your best bet would be with Coastal Tool but that's just my opinion, let us know if you can get everything Coastal offers for the same price or lower at Lowes.

Zaino is not a true polish in the sense that is will remove swirl marks or scratches.

Try 3M, Menzerna, Meguiar's dual action cleaner polish, etc. then finish it off with Zaino.

You guys need to check out www.autopia.org/forums and read up. TONS of great info. and learning.

I heard great stuff about 3m, so I think I am going to do a few coats of that, then top it off with the zaino set.

UIK WS6, The white pad you can get from Coastal Tool is a great all around pad, Zaino products would be good choice as far as polishing.
Zaino products dont polish, they seal. Despite what they may claim or the differences used in the term "polishing". Using a dual action buffer to apply zaino would accomplish nothing in terms of looks - it would only make the process go a little faster.

For polishing, I'd highly recommend using Menzerna polishes - available at www.properautocare.com , but other viable alternatives from 3m exist, as well as the meguiars Dual Action Cleaner/Polish, another very good product.

Quik WS6, These would be the best for use with your new buffer. http://www.properautocare.com/menpolandpad.html

Steve,
I was at Lowe's today, my store only carries model 7336 which according to the website is a random orbital sander. It listed for $109.00 just like you had posted. I was reluctant to buy it b/c I was looking for model 7424. If I may ask, did you buy the 7336, or another model? After checking the Porter Cable website, I can't really find any difference between the 7336 R/O Sander and the 7424 R/O Polisher.
Bottom line: Do I buy the 7336?

Thanks,
Tony

Porter Cable 7424 with Menzerna works wonders and actually removes the scratches and does not hide them like Zaino.

Tony - the 7336 is basically the same machine - you can go ahead and buy that but keep in mind you will need some pads.

Well with all this buffer talk I might as well find out if mine is any use. I got this Craftsman one a while back but never used it, is it any good?

Thanks SuperBuick. That's all I needed to know. Now, since I'm fortunate enough to have Eastwood 10 min from my house, I'll run up there and see what they have for polishing pads.

Hmm after hearing all this I might have it invest in one of these. I was ususally worried about using a buffer on my car at all. I'm gonna have to check on all those links later on and read up.

A buffer would be good for something like imperial hand glaze?

Yes - any mild abrasive product (3m hand glaze, menzerna, meguiars Dual-action cleaner polish) is much more effectively and efficiently applied with a Dual-Action polisher. Even more so with a direct drive buffer - but those are not for the faint of heart (or skill).

If you have any swirls/spiderwebbing on your car that you would like to remove I cannot stress enough how effective a dual-action porter cable combined with Menzerna polishes or Meguiars Dual-Action cleaner polish is
