Orbital Buffer
Hey All--
I am looking to find an orbital buffer. I am clueless...all I know is that I want this to apply my Zaino and Scratch and Swirl Remover come spring time for maximum results. Who here uses a buffer? If so what type, what brand, where I can pick one up and what is the approximate price for a decent Orb. Buffer?
Thanks in advance.

I use an orbital buffer in my detailing business. They are great I have a $300 professional model but any of the cheaper ones work just as well that you can pick up from Lowes or Sears. I always use liquid wax and terry clothe bonnets with great results. Just make sure you get a real orbital buffer and not a high speed to avoid swirl marks, also try using 2 bonnets over your buffer pad to provide plenty of cushion. I use car brite products. You can do a search and find them on the net. I use the weather sheild wax and occasionally on really bad cars a light rubbing compound.
Porter Cable 7424

I'd suggest the Menzerna polish and pad kit as the way to go for removing all swirls and hazing.

you are one brave soul. Even on my first car, when it was brand new, detailing by hand STUNK. What a pain. I bought mine from http://www.coastaltool.com/cgi-bin/S...285+1077898167 . BTW, I don't use this on my Camaro, you can but I would rather do it by hand.

I can't understand why people are afraid to use these on their cars??? I do my neighbor's ferarri collection using the Porter Cable and all of his cars are 100% swirl-free and flawless.
Dual action polishers cannot and will not damage your paint. Doing it by hand will take 500% of the time to get 80% of the results.

I got a cheapo buffer, but I don't trust it, I might be forced to go buy a good one to take out som eye sores that I've spotted on the car.......
No one else can spot them but me, but we all know how that is.......
