If you could pull that off, I guarantee you, I will pay you to do mine.

It would be nice to have them like that thou..
If worst comes to worst I will sand down that tiny image thru the paint unless the whole switch is grey plastci

Then I will find switches off of a truck

Okay guys, I just found out that the trucks have lights under the switches from the factory, so this probably won't work with ours .....but there is hope. The switches are similar to ours. So a plan B has been made

Well I was curious one day, so I took my TCS switch apart and then one of the window switches apart. They are completely different. The window switches are solid grey plastic. There is no way to shine a light behind the stock switches and have it shine through since the image is just painted on the plastic. You sand that off and you will just have a plain grey switch.

Let me guess, find a way to adapt those switches to our cars, right?

That's what I want to do to my next Camaro is swap the switches for some backlit ones. One of the numerous ideas I have. My list for the car is so long, and I don't even have the car yet

im thinking we can drill out the switch, put in a 3mm led and then file it down, and paint it... not sure how it will look though.. It would probably be easier to get another set of switches and mount them in our bezels... that can definitely be done. they also have the flush mount switches, those bitches are bad ***.. like theres no switch at all...

OK I KNOW electrically making other switches work would be cake. The wiring is very basic.

The only issue I can see is mounting the switches if they aren't the same size or mounting style.

Soooo... could something along the same lines as this be done?

http://www.instructables.com/id/Guit...p1/Open-it-Up/

Only thing I can see that might be a problem is if the switches aren't flat on the bottom like those frets are.

Subscribing to this.

I would MUCH rather have the switches light up than a spotlight on them.
