'97+ console in my '93
I've got the console in already - looks great but I have two issues
1) I removed the cig lighter to mount my satellite radio but I'd still like to have power going to the power outlet by the e-brake. The connectors are completely different. Is there some type of adapter or can I purchase the power outlet's harness and splice it into the existing wire?
2) at the front edge of the console base, there are two tabs with a hole in them that looks like it needs to either be bolted or clipped onto something... do the '97+ dashes have something at that spot or is there a missing piece I can buy to fill that small gap. You can barely see it but I'd still like to make it look better if possible
TIA

On the dash subframe, there are two tabs that those line up with and fasten utilizing (2) screws. The same ones that hold the lower console to the tunnel. As far as the cigarette lighter, I can't help you there.

you need to buy it from the dealer or somewhere like that. the 93-97.5 didn't have that bracket. I did the same thing in my 94Z, loved it lol. Not sure of the p/n for it, maybe someone will chime in. but it just bolts down at the top of the tunnel. oh and the storage compartment above the console from a mid-late 90s mustang fits in the gap left by the new console very well
