Gasoline. Then wash it, buff it, and wax/seal it.

Just did my TA, also done on my 85 camaro and my 93 PGT did you use wd40? mine came off in one go also used a special mini spatula/scraper made of soft plastic used on helicopters. i didnt even have to buff mine after no lines no residue no marks of any sort., also was your car ever repainted? my buddy has major marks because of his LT1 being repainted.

i had a buddy look at it and he scratched at it with his nail and chipped a tiny piece of clear coat off and in that little part it was gone so it seems like its in the top layer of clear

dude...seriously...just use some lite rubbing compound and a buffer and that **** will come right off and then wax it with the buffer and you wont even see it.

I had the same problem as a lot of us have.

or just put your molding back on....and be done with it. which is better?

I seriously doubt he peeled a peice of the clear with just his nail.....did you use a heat gun or atleast a dryer or did you just yank that **** off?

just my 2 penny's

Use some rubbing alcohol and follow it up with a wash and wax. You'll never look back at it once you do any one of what I and others have posted.
