headlight help

headlight help So I picked up a 02 z28 a few months ago and it had some nasty looking headlights with the yellow grit and all. I used some headlight restoration kits and cleaned them up nice but even afterwards they were still really cloudy and not clear at all. I repeated the steps over and over and they still ended up cloudy after i was done. I said screw it and ordered a set of halos and I got them tonight and wow they fit like complete **** I cant even get them to screw on without being in a good position plus I think they look stupid. I feel like ive wasted money can anyone give me some advice should I just buy new stock ones or is there any way i can fix mine old headlights?
