I have an 87 TA that I have been rebuilding over the last year or so. I dyed all my plastics to cobalt which I love from the dingy grey color that it was. The grey door insert I hate and will be removing that. This is my iidea. I will be fabricating a metal peice that will fit where the grey insert is. I will have the "Italia" name with the lions CNC'd into the metal. One side will be the lion with the Italia name, then past the door handle will be the Italia name with the lion. Under this I will have an acrylic panel attached and under this I will attach LED's. The LED's will then run behind the door( wire only) and will connect to the door light so that then the doors open, they will illuminate. This will be done to the door sills to. The door panel inserts will be raised about an inch or so to give it some depth. I know a few sign manufactures that can do this for me and I will be talking with them next week. The door inserts wil then be painted/powerdcoated black.

Now that that's out of the way... I think a metal/illuminated door skin would be cool in general.

Hmmmm why italia on an american car? we've seen what a camaroghini looks like so I wouldn't do that
