What is this hose for?
Under the hood, the hose that is on the drivers side over the fender. It looks like poop and I want it gone. What is it, and how can I do that?
Also, the air hose that goes into the air lid. Can I remove or relocate that?

I am making a day of it and cleaning under the hood. Already know how to relocate the TCS and wire harness on passanger side.

Pics:
The hose that goes to the air box, was shortened, and a little breather filter added below the fuse box.
The air pump is located just behind the driver side fog lamp. . . . once you remove the wheel well liner everything is accessible, and you can see how the relocate a mini filter, got one of the silly "ricer" breathers from Autozone or Pep Boys. Shortened the OEM hose and clamped the filter on . . The got some plastic hose bars from ACE to assemble the AIR hose through the wheel well. I unfortunately did not put a liner around the hose, so when it is a bit chilly the hose squeaks as it rubs on the metal support.
I enlarged an existing hole in the fender support with a Dremel to feed the hose and hood latch through.

If you REALLY want to keep it, then fine, hide the hose.
But in my opinion, take it off! The air injection system runs for a little bit after a cold start to help get the cats up to proper operating temperature. It's practically worthless, ugly, and adds unnecessary weight.

It's not that I necessarily want to keep it or not. I am not working right now, so I am looking at free things to do. If I removed it, I'd have to get a new belt, tune, and plate for the manifold. Just easier to keep it. I'm not fast enough that the weight savings would even be noticeable.
Also, does anyone know where I can get rubber grommets for the wire mod and this mod?
