Re: Tint Get sides removed and replaced with lighter tint of your choice... leave back 20% and have a second layer of 20% placed on top... will be very very dark and llok nice.. and you don't run the risk of them fubaring the rear defroster from removing the tint. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Tint I would leave the back alone and just get the sides redone legally because Ive had my back window with (2) 20% sheets and it was really dark. Actually, I had all the windows like that and if you want it to look good but have the problem at night of not seeing then, make the same mistake I did. Believe me, you dont want to make the back window too dark because you wont be able to look out of it again unless its really sunny out. This was on a truck, so I dont know how much different it would be on a Camaro.
Re: Tint Well in IL it is illigal to have any side tint. you can only have the windows behind the driver tinted... for f-bodies this just leaves us the back window. I'm appearing in court on MON for my current tint setup because the cop was a jerk. The only reason for option A is because I'm hoping a light tint on the side won't attract attention that it is tinted for future pull overs. As for the back, this guy has been doing it for 20yrs so I'll leave it up to him for a new layer or remove the old and add 5%.

Re: Tint MadIce, I feel your pain- I'm in Downers Grove and my whole car is 20% tinted. I just try to drive with my windows down and I haven't had any problems. <img border="0" alt="[USA]" title="" src="graemlins/patriot.gif" />

Re: Tint I've had my tint for close to a year and this is the 1st time being pulled over. It was a dupage cop so its a court ticket, I gotta think of what I want to do quick since court is this MON. I love the way the tint looks now, but I might have to take off the sides and get the back dark. This way it would be 100% legal and I can't get hassle for tint in the future.

Re: Tint I have 5% all around on 3 of my vehicles and my girlfriend has 5% on hers. I have been pulled over at least 8 times and never had a single word said to me about it. Tint Well I currently have 20% on all my windows, but I recently was pulled over and need to change it, even though it looks perfect now. Should I go with option (A),(B) or (C).
(A) Get all the tint pro removed and get 5% on the back and go lighter on the sides like 35%. This will cost me $100 though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> .
(B) Get the sides taken off and have no tint on them, but get 5% on the back window. This will cost me less then $100 (prob $50). My car is now legal.
