I was short on time when I posted this, the driver side is just about final.

I had to go out tonight, so I decided to "test" the fitment before I did the right side. I did 80-85mph for 40miles on the hwy, no bends, rattles or issues. I also sat at idle for 15-20min, zero issues.

I did use, 3m double sided tape.

Note the bottom is rolled under like 90 degree. I can't roll the area around the tips.

I thought about rivets all along outer edge but I like the smooth blended look.

Mark, 6LE whats your thoughts?

Thanks for pros and neg comments.

It looks different and I am on the fence... but the square borla tips fill in that hole perfectly.

I think it would look better if it matched the body color next to it either white or in your case blue... otherwise with the brushed it just seems off.

Great job thinking out of the box! I would just look for square/angle shaped tips though, lol...

Thanks Mark.

I may shoot some white and see how it looks, or semi gloss black. For sure though I've gone too far to go back. I will finish the right side today.

As far as the tips, I agree the ovals or square tips could work but with the SLP 2OTL, the left side is a challenge for those tips. I'd have to hack them up anyway. The right side is fine since I have a borla type design over the axle.

I guess love it or hate it, it didn't turn out to look like a hack, its just a different look.

In the end we all agree on something...we love our TAs.

Good idea, but the design needs a lot more refinement. If it were me, I'd make a whole new panel for the whole "CETA" insert area that includes the license plate area and reshapes most of the bumper, rather than "cheap" looking sheet metal inserts on a plastic bumper.
