Im in the process of trying to replace the motors in my windows and recover my door panel inserts. Im stuck though because I can not get the lock button/lever off of the door. Ive looked at this guide http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor3.html to see how to take it off, but it just looks like its going to break every time I try to remove it. Does anyone have any tips to get that off? Also are there any things to note about firebird doors compared to the ones in the write up? Thanks

You can use a flat head to pry it off and just use it like the guy used his finger (but you shouldn't need to use one). It's just clipped onto the rod for the locks and it'll pop off before anything even thinks about breaking. As far as any differences, there's no difference when it comes to removing them compared to Camaros.
