Default How to make a front plate look cool?

I wanted to get the SLP bowtie grill, but a local cop is one of the best ticket writers in the country. Seriously, I spoke with a counsil member and he told me this lol. He basically wont leave me alone about the front plate being off and told me that today. So I need to mount a front plate or I have to put up with being pulled over all the time .

Any ideas or pics? I was thinking off to the side some how but Im kind of lost on this one. Stupid front plate law.

Thought about that. Any links? I suppose that would work well for shows and pics.

Still thinking about mounting options though.

some ppl just lay them on the dash but i think that looks lazy...

ive been stopped in the past for leaving mine off and got a couple tickets for it. i also tried using a tinted lp cover too and was pulled over a few times and told to take it off.

I just installed one of these on my mother's 5th gen. She didnt want the dealer drilling into the front fascia. It's called a Show-N-Go, its made by altec prodcuts. They sell the motorized version for anywhere between $120-$130 it comes with 2 remotes and all the instructions to install it. Than they sell a stationary version for $50 that you have to manually put up and down. There pretty neat excellent for car shows, you can drop it in 5 seconds and it keeps it out of the way. Took probably 10 minutes to install it. I would recommend it.

hmm, its a little like james bond or the transporter.

if you had multiple plates that you could have flip out, you could trick the cops a bit XD

don't get it...mine quite working after a few months and that's with it being used a handful of times...one day it fell off with my license plate...still going strong without being pulled over for no front plate...the electric motors in them things are junk as well as the mini grommets that are supposed to stay in the holes you drilled in underneath your bumper

i say nay!

mine just went out about a month ago. problem with mine was the pulley at the top broke/fell off so the wire has no where to go and was jamming. also the wire broke.

I have a couple of friends that have done this since NY sucks when it comes to front plates.

Buy the SLP Grill and then buy some of those large rare earth magnets off ebay and epoxy them to the back of the grill where you want to mount the plate. Then epoxy the other part of the magnet to the back of the plate and bam you have an invisible plate mount. It actually works quite well.

I think it looks a thousand times worse when people put it in the windshield, air dam, ect. Looks super ricey to me, and I think its hilarious that when people refuse to mount it because they think it will make their car "look bad" they make it look worse in some other way.

Just get a clean mounting bracket that comes up from underneath the front bumper. If you've gotta have it, you've gotta have it.
