Default buffing?

Just trying to get some info on the proper process of buffing a car. what pads/speed to use for what step,etc. I mainly use meguiars black box. Any and all input is appreciated. Thanks

what kind of buffer do you have? rotary, dual action/orbital?

We have a Makita.

Yesterday I hit my car with some Meguires cleaner wax #6 with the rotary buffer on the slowest setting. Today Ill throw some NXT 2.0 on by hand, polish after that.

Thats what I do.

i recommend the meguiars dual action G110v2/PC 7424xp because it is the easiest to use and WILL NOT damage your paint. a rotary buffer and or the flex polisher is more for the experienced but give great results as well if done right. check out this guy http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/junkmans-corner/ they call him the junkman and his videos are VERY detailed and if his technique is followed exactly like how he does it you will have outstanding results.
