Default '69 Z28 emblem guys, question please...

I've been thinking about putting '69 Z28 emblems on my '99 Z28. I had a set years ago I was gonna put on my '94 but never did and ended up selling them. I noticed they had a slight curve to them to fit the '69 fenders. My question is how did you guys mount yours? Did you bend them to be flat or did they fit ok the way they are?

They very carefully bent them flat.

Buy a rear panel or grille emblem, they're flat. I'm pretty sure I had rear panel emblems on my 95.

wrap the emblem in a shop towel so it wont get scratch, put it between two wooden blocks, and press the blocks together in a vise. If they need painting, straighten them out prior to restoring them to be on the safe side.

Those work on the fenders, but they're too big to fit under the tail light on the rear. The 69 fender emblem is smaller and should fit under the tail light in place of the factory emblem.

Or, you can fill in your "Camaro" on the tail panel and place a 69 tail emblem in the middle.

Oh, and they bend easy.

Yup, forgot to mention that. I had mine filled in with it in the middle. There's not much room under the taillight.

Used Fender badges on sides and rear, Flattened by placing the emblem in a leather glove between two wooden blocks and gently hit it with a mallet. Worked great. Just used the Grill Emblem for the front. Here's how I placed mine on the rear, Looks good, way better than I expected.
