Engine Bay

That's before I got the STB in, so not TOO much of a diff. I still don't like posting it along with Todd's and Steve's, but oh well, it can only get better

hey kwik ss i am really diggin that painted intake manifold. my car is black and the accent color is red on the engine comp, but my valve covers are already powder coated red. so it would be too over bearing to paint the intake red too, so what color do you guys suggest??? all opinions are open. so dont hold back thanks

Will you please post what you use to clean the engine/engine compartment? I used some two step solution last time that involved a cleaner and then shine solution. It is dirty again and I want to clean it so what is recommended?

Also where do I get those 5.7L valve covers show in the pics and what is a good site to purchase this stuff from in general?

i agree 100% w/ the simple green question!! my engine sparkles like new. just spray simple green fully concentrated all over your engine and let sit for about 5 minutes (make sure engine is cool) then take your hose and wash it off, i do it all the time and still no probs.

And essentially, for those 5.7L covers, just get yourself a set of C5 Corvette Fuel Rail Covers. Some of our sponsers carry them, but there are some people who make custom ones (check the forum for a guy named Savage...his are custom and look amazing)

Steve2000: How did you polish the AC compressor? Did you take it off? Or did you just apply metal polish and buff?

Very nice touch

You can do most of it in place, but removing it, is easier.
