Default C5 Dash in a 4th gen Fbody?

Has anyone ever put a C5 dash in a 4th gen or at least seen it done or maybe have some pics?

I love the way the C5 dash wraps around and I love the fact that it actually has black leather and not this half assed ebony **** that GM put in my TA that is actually gray.

Anybody got anything?

I've never seen it but anythings possible. I don't think it would be easy. Also I'm pretty sure there's no leather on the C5 dashes. Its made out of the same material as a TA dash.

Yea that would be interesting... I dont know about the dimensions of the c5 dash but maybe with a little fiberglass and trimming it could be possible. If you really want the c5 dash just because its black, you can pick up some interior spray and paint it black or have it reupholstered in black leather which I plan to do...

I definately agree with that. I just not sure that I have enough of either one.

I like the spray paint idea to at least get it black but I love how the vette dash wraps around and has more of a cockpit feel to it. Plus all the switches and buttons and gauges are cooler. And we all know that the more switches buttons and guages you have, THE FASTER YOUR CAR GOES!! Just like adding stickers...

Ricer humor for those of you that thought the last 2 sentances were serious.

It might not look right unless you also use the door panels and center console. start off with some measurements and see if its even possible without major modifications.

have fun with that.... none of the bolt holes will line up, the door panels and center console will need to be redone, the kick boards will need to be redone. the shifter probably wont line up and the a pillers

it would look badass.... i just remembered something else you would have to do and it would be the worst part, the wiring would be all sorts of messed up and the gauges would be a nightmare to rewire unless your some sort of genius

Thats the part that worries me the most. I'm certainly not genius material by any means. I was thinking that the door and kick panels and that high center console add to the look and feel of the vettes. I think I could maybe pull off the fabrication part but would definately need someone to redo the appolstery.

I guess I'll put this idea back on the shelf for a while. I was hoping someone was going to say it was fairly simple or maybe have some inspirational pics.

I don't get it... what's so great about the C5 interior? It's all hard, cheap plastic like the F-body interior.

If I had the time and the diagrams I could probably eventually figure out how to make the gauges and stuff work. But that would take a lot of time deciphering both, then adapting one to the other.

It would be SO much easier to customize the gauge bezel and reuse you existing gauge cluster...with an overlay of course.
