Default new shift boot and ebrake boot off ebay!!

OK i was playing around on ebay and came across a blue/black leather shift boot and ebrake boot for a VW golf/jetta and thought eh it's only 15.99 I'll buy it and see if it works and ironically it fit my 02 ws6 perfectly!!

here is ebay link to show you seller info:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

INSTALL PICS BELOW:

(CAMERA FLASH MAKES IT LOOK LIKE A DIFFERENT BLUE, BUT IT MATCHES MY BLUE/BLACK SEATS PERFECTLY)

(HAVEN'T TUCKED IT UNDER EXISTING LEATHER HANDLE YET) (sorry for dirty seats in pic, daughter spilled crackers in seat!!)

(ACTUAL ITEM PIC OFF THE AUCTION PAGE)

I'm not showing this to advertise for this seller just to show that I got lucky when trying something different since I just got laid off from my job and didn't have a lot to spend on this interior mod.

does it snap in and stay in securely? or does it come out while shifting through the gears?

yes it stays secure, our stock boots has little slits in the bottom of it that the plastic notches fit into, i just cut little slits in mine to match the notches and it stays

Aside from the fact that it looks like you were on a road coarse eating fast food.....The boot needs to be rolled inward and stitched where the shifter boot meets the shifter rod. The ebrake handle looks goofy, maybe do the same thing with that one. It think it would seriously look better if you did that to both.
