ok, so I VHT'd it, put it on and it looked really good.. went back out to take pics of it (hour later) and it had cracks all in it... not much different than the original bulbs either. It looks good from a distance but resembles a huge pile of dinosaur **** up close... I dont like it and will be ordering a smoke one from ebay...

Got mine just now from FedEx. It is the correct one for high rise, however I ordered the Black one, bc crazy me thought the top would be Black so u can't see the led board and wires, but it is Clear!!! Just on the indented portion directly on top. Rest is black. Makes no sense to me. But nothing a piece of vinyl can't fix. Will install later.

just got mine in today and messed around with it .. I will be painting the top of mine black before my final install
is everyone putting the plugs in the housing or just stuffing the plugs into the spoiler? it seems like it would be a tight fit to screw them in the housing...

If you stuff the connections into the spoiler you leave the holes on the light wide open to water intrusion.
PS.... I'm waiting for the VHT to dry on mine

nice
this is the panel complete but just sat inside the housing and wing. nothing is permanent yet...pics are from an Iphone4 so they arent the best but it looks nice in person... you can see the pattern of the leds.. its obvious its not stock but looks like it during the day... until you hit the brakes that is... I like it.. the housing is ready for VHT and will get some attention on the inside.. reflective tape or something...
Looks good. ill deff be down to buy one if you make some more...

Got it, installed it, love it. Here we go...
Pictures. It's a quality item, seems just as well built as the original one. Looks almost like it was cast from the same molds. It's nearly identical to the original.
You can still see the casting break in this photo, about an inch below the white sticker. I sanded that out completely. I wet-sanded it with a small piece of 2000 grit sandpaper, then used Menzerna Micro Polish and a 3" orange pad with my Porter Cable 7424XP to buff it back to a high mirror shine. The casting bump totally disappeared.
The original... just before removal... (I didn't know I had a bulb out)
The new one, installed... (and the casting break is completely gone)
It's much brighter in person. I also noticed as I was editing the pictures that the new one was installed a bit crooked (and I was too lazy to take another picture). I went back out and straightened it... it's perfect now. You can barely see through the smoke plastic, so you can't really see the mounting tab or any of the guts of the spoiler. This is a very nice update to the look of the rear fascia. The smoke plastic is not nearly as offensive as the original red one IMO.
Ciao for now...
