Here come the ZZ's!!!! (Zaino Zealots) Watch out!!!! ![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
The question is, why is it that any time another product is discussed we have to say why, for whateverr reason, Zaino is better. Is this a Zaino board or a detailing board???
Zaino is great stuff, but there are other great products out there. Is NXT the end-all be-all?? No way Jose, but neither is Zaino (or anything else for that matter).
Really, it's all in the prep work.

Awesome look Black2002WS6! I have just bought the new Eagle One NANOWAX since it came with a full $9.99 Rebate that more than covered the cost of the wax. So far it seems to go on and come off pretty good. Expecially comes off easy with the included MicroFiber Towel.
It has a good deep shine, but the real test is also how long it will retain its shine and protection. That I honestly can not tell anyone yet. But after the rebate FREE is a pretty good price. It is so new that it is not really advertised much yet.
I believe that is the reason for the full rebate. They want honest opinions returned with the rebate form before spending lots of $$ advertising this new product.
I would be trying the Zaino if it were easier to just go out and purchase it locally.
Its not that I am lazy...I just don't care!
Just kidding.....I am lazy most days anymore.
Nice job! I may be moving back home to Florida (Bradenton/Sarasota) this summer.
I miss it!

LS1 Ruben - despite what claims may be made - Zaino is also just a shine treatment. No Zaino product does anything but "add" to the paint (chemicals, oils, whatever it may be they use). In fact, NXT actually does MORE than Zaino in terms of working the paint (abrading away swirls rather than filling them) NXT has a VERY VERY mild polish in it, which is what gives it its great swirl removing capability when applied with a porter cable.
As such, claiming that NXT is just a "shine treatment" isn't inherently correct. If anything, Zaino and other sealants (Blackfire for instance) are simply "shine treatments" that require polishing (menzerna, 3m, meguiars) in order to reap the benefits of the protection and gloss they provide (per Sal Zaino it is reccomended you polish/compound your paint before application - I believe he recommends 3m)

Yeah i meant if you just wanted your car to shine (without buying the claybar and detailing spray, common stuff that is also bought with zaino the first time) than the Z1 and Z2 would give you just the shine treatment that is desired. This only comparing $13 to $22.
But since you gave a good explanation of this new stuff, since it doesnt fill swirls but removes them, it has to be abrasive doesnt it? This cannot be good for multiple layers if it is? Could ya help me out on this.

Actually you are quite correct in terms of layering. That is why I mentioned (perhaps in a different post) that its really only layerable up to about 3 layers.
I would consider it to be the equivalent of Z1, Z2, and Z5 because it shones, protects, and removes swirls (while z-5 is only hiding them). One thing about NXT, though, is that to experience any swirl REMOVING, you need to apply it with a porter-cable dual action polisher. The abrasive additive is so extremely mild that when you apply the product by hand it is nearly impossible to even break it down (and thus you only experience swirl FILLING, not REMOVING, when applying by hand) Due to the extreme mild nature of this "abrasive" (it's barely even that), you can, when applying by hand, layer NXT up to a point.
But that brings us back to the question, does layering really even make a difference?? I believe it does, but only up to a point. Saying you have hundreds of layers of a certain product on your car and actually believing you have hundreds of accumulated layers on there....well.....if you did your car would look like it had a quarter-inch think coating of saran wrap on it. My point......there is a point of diminishing returns when it comes to layering. For NXT, I've been advised by a technical training specialist at meguiars that this point of diminishing returns comes at about 3-5 layers.
