me and my friend might try and get some daytime pics tomorrow. one dose of the colorx and there isn't a SINGLE swirl mark on my car. i was thoroughly impressed with that, not to mention the gloss the tech-wax brought out!

it's pretty much a wax/polish/swirl remover all in one. it's badass ****. non-abrasive. meguiar's makes it. go to walmart and buy colorx and tech-wax (both by meguiar's) and you'll be set.

I am using Zaino. Maybe when I am done I will switch or try it out. Your ride looks sweet dude.

How bad were the swirl marks before you added the colorx. My black car could be interested. I have seen the stuff, but have been too skeptical to try it. If it really worked for you, I will be doing this rather than paying out big for 3m.

i'm quite certain my car had the worse swirl marks i had ever seen on any car. when the sunlight hit the car, it just looked awful. it was almost embarrassing to drive knowing it was so obvious and ugly. the worst parts were the upper halves of the sides of the car, which i colorx'd twice. everything else got it once, and it worked just fine. if you are careful and really bare down on that stuff, i think one coat all around will be fine. i did two just because i knew my damn swirlies were so bad. it was also the middle of the night, so i couldn't really step back and see if the swirls were actually being removed or not. but when i saw my car in the sun the next day, i honestly could not find one single visible swirl. i was totally amazed.

Thank you for the reply. I will definatly be using this. Probably 2 coats of this before I start layering the Zaino. Might as well do it right, ya know what I mean? Awesome looking Z too, I love the color.

thanks for all of the compliments! i didn't use any machines or tools. this was all by hand. as a matter of a fact, i'm about to go wash it and put it's second coat of tech-wax on

if any of you have swirl marks even remotely close to as bad as mine were, then you might have to put a little bit more effort than most. otherwise, one coat of colorx should remove nearly any and ever swirl on even the darkest car. i'm telling you, this stuff is amazing.

by tech wax he is reffering to Meguairs NXT generation Tech wax - it comes in a goofy purple bottle but works really well. It is a fully synthetic polymer sealant. ColorX is an all-in-one cleaner/polish/sealant product that is a great pre-NXT step.

Check Meguiars.com I believe they are both featured on the home page. Goofy packaging but really good products, and available at your local Wal-Mart.
