Default New HID lights flickering

I just installed my HID conversion with the LMC truck housings. The lights work, but they constantly flicker especially while moving. Its almost like the bulbs themselves are bouncing around. Everyone seems to be tightened up.

One thing I cant figure out though is the metal bracket behind the headlights. The one with the circle hole to manually raise your lights. For one, there is no way in hell anyone can get their hand down there to manually raise the lights so I took it off. Now I cant find the right screws to put it back on. Would this cause the lights to shake and thus make them look like they are flickering?

were the original lights flickering ???

the most common problem would be the ballast, if the bulb was the problem it wouldn't turn on at all.

hope this helps.

The old lights would flicker from time to time yes. I am thinking it could be my battery. The fog lights work fine. Im only showing 10-12 volts on my battery gauge and the other day my battery died because I had the lights on for about 5 mins

If the fliquering is happening with the car turned off it might be your battery, but if it happening with the car on it might be something else, like a loose connection at the alternator or a wiring problem, if it was happening before this install I would never add more variables to the problem. Take the hids out and troubleshoot the problem...

Your battery shouldn't die if the lights are left on for 5 min. If it did, your battery was dead to begin with.

You may need a relay kit to power your ballasts. The stock wiring isn't good enough to support the voltage it requires. It will also fix the issue of only one light turning on if you have that problem. Look up HID relay kit on Google.

^^^ What he said.

I had the same problem with my hid kit.

Relay harness fixed the flickering.

I think Ill scoop up a new battery and relay kit and see if that fixes the problem. All the lights turn on just fine. I have had a bout with blowing my turn signals though. I got some dielectic grease and am going to clean out the connectors. Had some water in the passenger side turn signal housing last time I swapped it.
