Car looks great man, I'd leave it as is and save up for the V8. When you get ready to swap, I'd put in something beefier than a LS1. I'm planning to do a 454 LSX build when i get out of college in two years. Good Luck!!!

The car is not lowered, it's stock ride height with the w68 ground effects.

The car has a borla with the wide open plate, best of both worlds because when I drive it slow it's quiet and when I need press on it a lil it is pretty darn loud.

I had the car since 2007, so I had it for 4 yrs.
Baught it with 18,000 miles.

As for a TA spoiler...
I like them, but they are not really for me.

The only hoods I ever really loved was the firehawk and raptor hoods.

One day there will be a V8 in the car.
Not sure which one because I am pretty sure there will be a far better engines by the time I have money and time for a swap.

Thanks for all of your opinions and comments, they really helped me out.
So far I think I may paint the calipers and start a fund for a V8.

Agreed about the Firehawk hood. Im looking for one, they are very hard to find. Good to see your doing what YOU want with YOUR car, and not going with the TA wing just because everyone on here says to. The car looks good.

I found a firehawk hood on ebay, but it was for $2000.
Wish I had money to buy it even though it was outragiously over priced.
To me I believe the TA wing belongs only on a TA.
If I wanted a TA I would sell mine and save up for one, but to me I rather do a sleek look that will one day be a sleek sleeper.
The firehawk hoods are the best hoods made for the firebird line up to me because it is clean and completes the front bumper with a look of the pontiac grill.

trans am hatch, ws6 or firehawk hood, lower it. since you plan to drive it with the V6 for a while, I would go ahead and upgrade all of the suspension components and drivetrain pieces for the V8. Then when your ready to swap the car will be setup for the extra power.

Yea the firehawk hood just flows with the rest of the car.

Yes, they are a perfect fit. I have them on my car, and it looks ****. Be aware that it's also illegal to have red sidemarkers in the front.

Exactly what I have been telling you Shawn! Lets tackle the suspension! You will be much happier with that out of the way when its time for a V8 swap.

We shall have a paint caliper winter garage party. We'll do the bird, then paint the camaro right after

BTW, nice to see all the pictures you put up, are the ones I took hahaha.

It's illegal to have front tint (here in PA at least, though FL, CA, TX, etc., are prob different), illegal to tint your tail lights, illegal to have HID's in a reflector housing, especially 7000K+, illegal to have red side markers up front (need to be rear as that designates rear of the vehicle), too many other things to list lol.

Oh, and car looks good. Now, get a blower or turbocharge it

HAHA winter garage party sounds fun especially since our winters suck and all we can do is look at our cars and hope spring comes faster.
My only concern about a lowering kit or something is I am already hitting the wheel wells, so what will 1 in do?
Think Mike will notice his rear side markers being amber if I do a lil switch r' roo?
Forgot to mention, thanks for being my professional photographer

Then to HIbachiZ28- I am glad I don't live in PA especially with emissions.

I'm not wild about the wheels, but they're alright. I wouldn't waste the money on a hood or anything like that -- why make it look like something it's not? Furthermore, those W68 cars have a unique look as it is.

If it were mine, I'd probably swap to a 96-00 WS6 5 spoke and work on brakes/suspension. Get the most out of learning how to control the chassis -- and then slam the new drive train in when you're in the "real world."
