Default Duplicolor Metalcast Valve Covers

This is my first attempt at trying to clean up under the hood. Please ignore the rest of the dirt in the pictures.

I used Duplicolor Metalcast Anodized Red for the valve covers.
The brackets and bolts are all painted with just the Duplicolor Metacst Base coat.

For the moment I like the look of the silver breaking up the black and the red.

I still have a painted fuel rail waiting to be swapped out.

I know powder coating is more durable and may happen in the future.

I forgot to take a picture of just the covers by themselves.
The pic with the bracket below is the best I can find on my camera. But it doesn't show the gloss well at all.

I wish I would of done more sanding prior to painting on
the covers. There are a few spots under the coils/brackets where you can see the imperfections and roughness of the cover itself.

But the spots are covered up, so live and learn.

I just took the one of the fuel rail trying to get a shot showing the paint itself.

The duplicolor paint is available at most part stores. Autozone, Advanced, PepBoys etc.

I'll find out how well it holds up with time.
