dust everywhere!
i don't have a garage, so i park out in the open. every morning there is a layer of dust on my car. i park near trees, but they are small. is it the trees causing the dust everywhere, or would that happen even if i parked out in the middle of a huge parking lot where no trees were? thanks.

Texas has a dust problem, we have it here in Houston too. Mexico + Wind currents =dirty F-bodies...sigh...if you don't have access to a garage think about investing in a car cover.

Actually this will sound rather strange, but when I got my california duster, I put it into a vaccum bag and got it all dusty. The more dirth they are, the better they work..= no streaks! try it..

Get yourself a California Car cover. I have one, and love it. I parked my car outside for awhile before I moved and got a garage. It worked great. They have all kinds of different car covers to fit your needs. They are great, and it'll take care of your dust problem.
Also, on the California Car duster, you have to use it a few times before those streaks stop happening. Read the directions... I think they say to let it sit out on a newspaper for "X" amount of time, and that the more you use it, the better it works.
Dust sux. Believe me, I know. Santa Ana's pick up here in SoCal, and blow dust all over the place. Car get's covered in it. And to make matters worse, I'm allergic to dust. Ack!

Just a thought...leave the parking lot, drive like someone's chasing you...dust blows off....LMAO
Ok, I'm tired, car cover works great for me too. I use it at work when I'm on days off and it keeps the car clean for 3 days until I come back.
Just a hint of cop advice here too, when you get a car cover, use either liquid shoe polish in Black, or Black spray paint and write in Giant letters either your name, or LP number on the cover. I know most of the covers come with a locking system but, theiving little bastards cut those all the time and make off with car covers alot. Just my professional experience, the ones with markings never get touched.

High pollen this time of year, my oaks just got done
shedding it (Florida).
Here's another possibility - get one of those 12V raft
/ air-bed inflators, and use it like a mini leaf blower?
I have one and it puts out a pretty good air jet. At
least it's "touchless". Maybe not as effective as a
static-electricity brush though.
