Default Painted Intake and Polished Caliper PICS

Intake manifold is the same color as the car (www.firebirdomain.com), polished only 1 caliper to see how it would come out. I think it came out grrrrreat!

The intake pics and the rest (high quality) pics are located at http://www.firebirdomain.com/caliper/

Both the intake and caliper look great, the photo in your post almost looks like it's painted black ( but after checking out your photo link I see it's polished ).

Hey thanks for the compliments! I am gonna start on the valve covers today (sanding) and post before and after pics when they're done!

initially started the caliper on the car, in fear that taking it off would screw something up if i couldn't get it back on, but its really easy to take the caliper off. I started with 80 grit than slowly progressed. I went back and forth between hand sanding with a block and various emory cloths grits (coarse, medium and fine) to a mouse sander. There were still some bad areas and it didn't look great to tell you the truth. I jumped around with various grits, the next 3 i will stick with hand sanding with the block and just bite the bullet. There are still some small "pot holes" in the caliper, hardley noticeable but they could have been sanded out if i didn't jump around. I ended it with 220 grit to get it extra smooth. Here are some pics of the stages. click
