What's a girl to do?
We need to know if your car is a manual (M6) or an automatic (A4). I don't remember seeing that mentioned. Anyway...
Lets back up for a second. You said you only had a cutout, correct? Okay, thats a good start. Now get the basics outa the way. Lid (I would recommend the new TS&P lid or Direct-Flo), Shifter (B&M Ripper or Pro 5.0; becuase the stock one sux azz), lowering springs, FTRA (Fast Toys Ram Air; because the "ram air" hoods are more appearance than performance), and the free mods (go here for those; www.installuniversity.com). I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but you'll figure them out.
Now, if its an A4, the first "major" mods I would look into doing would be a torque converter, gears (3.42s or 3.73s), and some Nittos.
If M6, I would look into ASP Pulley, Longtube headers w/ ORY (off-road y-pipe), or X-pipe with dumps (you said you wanted mean <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" /> ).
This is just to get the ball rolling as this list can go on FOREVER! I think everyone will agree with that statement. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
The best thing you can do for your beautiful new T/A, is read and learn as much as you can on this board. There is an insane amount of knowledge to be had floating around this site.
Welcome to ls1tech! Happy moding! And Be Careful out there! ...Now go kick some Stang & Ricer AZZ! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

<strong> Lucky *** car! <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[worship]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[worship]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Ditto that <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Between the car and you there shouldn't be an eye looking elsewhere. Basically do everything McTullis has done, his car should be every silver WS6's model. Just be sure to lower it, get some clear side markers, and remove all the body molding and such. For the interior, silver leather seat inserts, embroidered headrests, silver faced gauge overlays, and carbon fiber overlays would really set it off. Not a silver WS6 but to give you some ideas on what different wheels and lowering can do, check out my website at http://hometown.aol.com/sqtransam/ <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Beautiful car, and you aren't half bad yourself <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I couldn't agree more mini! And just look down the rest of the topics page, at all the other posts with ZERO responses. <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />
I think everybody else more than answered her questions though, so I'll let that aspect lie.
But I think most of the recommendations are covered. Be subtle. Wheels are always a great start, possible a larger diameter wheel, wider and of course bigger tires. After that a simple lowering with say a 1" drop would look killer. Nice exhaust tips that would fill up the notches in the rear fascia of the TA. A cool idea read about is to paint the bezels around your headlights body color. Since you are in TX a good window tint would lok great.
Interior custom leather! Or even new seats, shall I say Recaros? White or silver faced gauges.
Engine, endless, CHROME. Nice ceramic coated headers.
The opportunaties are endless!
BTW, Steve, thanks for the pimping! <img border="0" alt="[pimp]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_pimp.gif" />
Good Luck!
Andy
**Thank you Niphilli for the idea on SLP blisteins with G2 or hypercoil springs..I heard that from another TA driver so it makes it a good thing to hear again from one of you.
**Mobe-what can I say...you've been great-a WEALTH of information. I'm definitely going to take it slow and I'm very excited. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, MY TA IS A M6. One question: you mentioned I should change my shift to B&M or anything besides the shifter that comes stock with the TA.....I already changed it to a HURST shifter, WILL THAT NOT WORK? All your other ideas rocked and I'll continue to read up on them before I make my final game plan.
**HeritageLS1-Thanks for your response! You mentioned getting 'a system'....well, the WS6 comes with a Monsoon (10 speakers) system and it sounds pretty darn good if I do say so myself. If that's not enough for my head banger buddies, I still have the 2 10" Rockford Fosgate Subs and 2 Kenwood Amps I took out of my previous ryde....so, I think I got the 'sound' covered. BUT, I failed to mention any details on my TA in my first post...so, no one knew. Thanks for your other idea's as well <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
**HOLY COW, MCTULLIS's car is GORGEOUS!!! Beautiful, I want my ryde to look like that!!! So sleek.....Damn!! Ok, I noticed his parking lights (I think those were the lights....the one's above his fog lamps)are changed to white ...how'd he do that? Also, where can I find some sweet rims like that? Where in the world can I find the front plate cover (I didn't get one with my TA from the dealership-I didn't buy the TA completely knew..it had 15k miles on it so the first person must have kept it?!? don't know why, but anyway.....)
BTW-I went to http://afterthoughtsauto.com/ligcovandlen.html and they had the side light covers for the FRONT ONLY on the TA. Where can I find rear side markers? What color bulb do I want (amber or red)?
I know this is WAY TO MANY QUESTIONS and it make take some time to get back some answers..or maybe not with this crowd....but I can't express how thankful I am to be able to ask and receive....you boys (and girls if there are any out there) ARE GREAT!!!!
I need to take some better pics of my ride.....and when I do, ya'll will be the first to see!
J
P.S. To those of you I didn't specifically respond to, I appreciate the time you took to and I love reading some of your humor....nothing is taken personal so no worries-let's have FUN! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
Everyone pretty much covered the basics. For me I would go with 18" wheels/tires and tinted windows. The stock lines look good and I really like the body color. Lowering the car will also look good but remember that you will have to "think more" when your driving. You'll have to be careful when pulling into some driveways and go a little slower over speed bumps and dips in the road.
Performance mods will depend on how far you want to get into it. Anything you can do to help the car breath better will give you more horsepower. A high flow lid and catback exhaust are good places to start. I see that you have a cutout which sounds pretty good. A set of long tubes headers will give you another 20-25hp and increase that sound. Pulling off the cats will make it LOUD with the open cutout. People will know your coming before they see the car.
