To tell you the truth. If We could sell them for the same as the other peices we absolutely would. Here is why we cannot;
1) The base material is 3X the cost of regular mirror stainless
2) This material does not cut the same way. It's very tricky to do, where regular stainless is not an issue.
3) The etching we are doing on this material is also not done at all like the etchings we do on the mirror material. This material etching time is much longer. We really have to do it twice.

This stuff is just high to purchase which is probably why we are the only ones currently selling it. Now that we are, I am sure others will follow "copy". However, their price will be higher. We have had a good sales response to these pieces.
We have been asked literally for years for black metal. This is the best way to do it, unless you want to paint it. And even then it would never look as nice as these do. Plus the time and cost to paint would not be effective, or as nice
This finish is a factory baked on enamel of some kind. Very hard and tough, which is also why the etching process takes longer.
They look very nice on this silver car.

Thanks, Roger

I really dig your placement choice of the ls1 badges.

I'm not sure if I'm sold completely on the whole onyx thing though. Would almost seem like the same effect could be had with vinyl. Who knows, maybe it's because I'm looking at your pics on a phone.

Your car looks awesome btw!

I can totally relate to you. It took me a while to push myself and order them. Not because of the price tag, but how will they look... Like stated from another member with them, pictures don't do them justice. They look awesome in person. More tastful over vinyl but realize the price may be the deciding factor when purchasing them. Well worth it in my book being I care more about apperance then "Go Fast" parts.

Thank you for the compliments.

Those look great. The tail panel 'PONTIAC' and front bird are on my list for this car too.

Amazing is what they look like in person They are a mirror black stainless and at times they will look different depending on the lighting and angle you are looking at them. They are a true black though to answer your question.
