how hard is it to swap hoods??

how hard is it to swap hoods?? like the question asks? has anyone swapped hoods by themselves or is it pretty mandatory to have an assistant? if you have any insight or tips please dont hold back. thanks

Re: how hard is it to swap hoods?? You will need an assistant definately. You will need to get the bolts off and on for both sides of the car while you are holding the hood.
What kind of hood do you have?

Re: how hard is it to swap hoods?? If you have one of the stock metal hoods, you'll actually need two additional people to help you. One person to work the wrench and take the bolts off, another to hold the hood on the drivers side and another to hold it on the passenger side.
As you start to work those bolts off, that hood start to wobble and get VERY heavy.
Unless you rigged some type of rope system up to the roof of your garage or something, I don't see how it would be possible to do by yourself.

Re: how hard is it to swap hoods?? thanks for the advice. the hood is like a ws6's but different, but the same. its hard to explain. but i love it and thats all that matters!! i should have it all done up in a couple of weeks and ill email pics to all that would like to see. again thanks guys!!
