Have you managed to do a thickened wheel yet?
I would love to see the pictures if you have. I think you did post that you were working on it.
I am really on the fence. If you guys come up with a good looking version of the stock wheel with a thicker grip, I will be sending my wheel the next day. I is off and sitting here on my desk. Or I will be going to a new wheel that has the thicker grip, but would prefer to get a modified stocker done.
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Redline: I see in your prototype pictures jus' a recovering of the outside part of the steering wheel. Could you wrap the inner part of the wheel (the housing that holds the radio controls) with a perforated leather and thicken the wheel? Also, is it possible to reshape the air bag and recovering that too? I don't mind cutting it up.

I did see that, but was hoping it has been done so we could see what it looked like.
BTW what is the best way to contact Redline. I sent an email and a PM about sending my wheel in to be done and never heard back.
I do not use Paypal anymore, which I did when I got my original Redline parts several years ago. I am in Canada so I also need to work out the shipping and stuff.

3 months and no real yea or nay update on making a stock wheel thicker leaves me to think it's not gonna happen any time soon! Maybe it's too expensive do it reasonably or not profitable enough. At least 3 members expressed interest do it if it's below the $200 to $300 range.

For these 3 months we've tried a few thickening methods. But, as you know, all our products are designed for DIY installation so we are also trying to develop thickening method that will be easy enough for you DIYers. And it seems we have finally found it. We'll be testing it next week on two steering wheels - one 3 series BMW M-sport and one 4-gen Firebird
Once the result is satisfactory, you'll be the first to know. And it will surely fall within the proce range you wrote - closer to $200 than $300 I hope
Take care

If you need a 4th gen wheel to "prototype" I have one. Alcantara is my choice!
