Default HID conversion on 2000 Trans Am

im trying to do my hid conversion the right way, and im looking for some replacement h4703 for my low beams but i cant seem to find anything but sealed beam, does anyone know where i can pick some up, and if possible projectors 4703 would be nice, i know the make these for the older trans ams and camaros but i can seem to find some for the 98-02 trans ams.

If you want replacement housings, Hella, Bosche, and LMC make decent housings. The LMC ones are cheaper and easier to get though.

The "projector" 4703 housings on ebay are fake. Its a crappy housing with a hunk of glass stuck inside to fool people. The output is terrible.

Also, if you want to do HID the right way, get projectors. Don't put HID in Halogen Reflector Housings. There will be increased glare (extra light outside the normal beam pattern which will blind drivers in the oncoming lane). Sometimes the beam pattern gets altered undesirably as well.

How hard is the install? Is it truly plug-n-play? Would it look wierd if you only had the low beams?

The install is fairly easy. If you can use a screwdriver and wrench then the install will be a breeze. It is also 100% reversible if you so desire.

I have the low beam only kit and I do not find it to look out of place at all. Most cars have HID lows and Halogen HIs anyways so it would be "normal." As long as things are symmetrical they tend to look OK.

The housings are stock but the bulbs are HIDs as well. I don't normally use them since they tend to throw light around.

Add to this thread a bit....has anyone on here ran CamaroHawk (eBay seller) HIDs? He sells housings and all as well as a complete low & fog kit. I'm eyeballing that as a potential present.
