jaxcam02: you talk about me doing the 'whistlering" mod to my headlights. Please correct me if im wrong, but isnt that when you get the headlight housing, and take the two pieces out of the inside of the housing?

If so what does this do?

theres the link to do it and 6litereater will sell you a pair that is complete with it already done.

o ok, i have done a mod like that on my alero taking the amber piece out and putting in a clear led that is amber in light.

mod sounds really easy should only take me about 30 mins

you gotta "cook" them in your oven just make sure you dont try to separate the cover from the housing without heating up the glue enough to separate the seal.

how did you make your halos red??? I want to get the set in the link but want a red halo?

Id be really carefull with the ones you get off ebay, i bought a set and the ones i have on my car now. The clear on the headlights come off easily after a few months, the rubber that goes around it cracks easily after a few months and the halos are not strong enough to notice or tell at all when the headlights are on.

correct. from Dubai. its full of LSx powered cars in here

but rarely ls1 fbody. mostly lumina SS (GTO version for ME and AU) and MANY vettes and 5th gens i started to have vettes of the amount you see everyday

Well I made them myself, I don't know how you would be able to change the color of the aftermarket ones- I haven't taken those apart.

In my old aftermarket halos, I wired the halos up to the parking lights (not to be confused with the DRLs). So with the headlight switch to parking lights, they would come on.

I wired mine up to the little accent light on the outsides of the blinkers. they come one when the headlights come on. Plus i imagine the voltage going though those wires are lower. Im hoping that it will prolong the life of the halos compared to my first set (i burned up one of the power packs with my first pair). The leds on my current pair have no trouble showing up in the daytime but the halos you cant see in the day, which is fine for me because they only come on at night and they look just as bright as the leds. they actually can be seen relatively well compared to the headlights as well. dunno if its a good idea but ive had no fuse or wiring issues so im gonna leave it.
