First, if it's in your budget, check out Brian at BLS for one of his kits. If that's not in your budget, then don't make the plates, just buy them. Once you get the plates go ahead and purchase the projectors and proper HID kit for the projectors. Much better for you and oncoming traffic.

That's bullshit. Glare is ALWAYS bad for an HID kit in a reflector housing, especially on Camaro's:

But, this is about Firebird's. They glare as well in stock or Depo or any other non-projector housing:

Unless you do it right it's going to be blinding/dangerous to other drivers, and look like complete **** on the road ahead of you.

HID kit in factory lights:

HID kit in Morimoto MH1's:

My old Camaro with 1 HID and 1 Halogen, both in 90mm Hella projectors, and Blazer projector fogs with halogen bulbs...
Above cutoff:

Below cutoff:

Do it the RIGHT WAY or don't do it at all. Put aside $40 (or more, or less) every pay check until you have the funds to do it the right way. Don't be another toolbag with glaring HID's in a **** housing.

I agreed 100% with HibachiZ28! that's why I posted this question after alot of reading. I just can't see spending alot of money and trouble on projectors.how much would I gain with LMC or Eurolamp housings and better bulbs(that aren't hid) over the stock sealed beam lights?

A good read here, just look past the HID stuff in this thread.

Edit: and the bulbs are 9005 and 9006 bulbs

Edit: Edit: Post from another Thread about LMC lights

OK guys, after having the Eurolights housings for a few months, I decided, even with the 100 watt lamps I put in them, they just plain suck. I’m sorry I wasted money and time on them. While the boxes they came in were marked 4703 and 4701, they are clearly the same housing. The H7 lamps are shaded tip only meaning there’s no true hi beam. Even the furnished adapter wires sucked. These fixtures provided just a blob of light with no cutoff point whatsoever. Pass on these, they’re garbage.

I went to LMC Truck Parts and got their 36-0302 and 36-0303 Euro style headlights. These arrived with 9005 and 9006 lamps. These things are beautiful. Each one even has cast in the backside "high beam" or "low beam". After installation, the light was great. Sharp, defined cutoff lines, great white light, just what I wanted. And this is with the 60 watt lamps they came with. Jeeze, even the bulb pigtails matched the car's color coding.

A note about LMC: The person taking my order got a few things wrong and I had to repeat everything two or three times to her. Despite reading back to me the correct address, it went to the wrong address. When asked what kind of truck I had, I replied "1999 Pontiac Trans Am". She thought it was a Honda model!! Then she told me it wouldn’t fit. Wade through this and go get your true high performance lights fellers. Definitely worth the money.
