Default Objects In Mirror Decal ?

Hey Guys,
I was thinking about getting one of those "objects in mirror" click on this link to see:
http://bfranker.badz28.com/vinyl/vinyl.htm
I was wondering if anyone here used those decals before?
Did you put it on the driver or passenger side mirror? If you put it on the passenger side, did it cover up the factory etching in the mirror?
I e-mailed them with the same question and the response was that they heard of some people "scraping" the factory etching off before applying the decal. I didn't think that was possible. Has anyone done this?

Thanks,
Brian

I ordered some cheap ones from ebay. I put them on both mirrors. And no they didn't cover the factory etching. I put down a piece of chrome tape first and then the decal. I know it was a ricey thing to do but whatever

Not to interupt, but I couldn't see those decals on the website. Under which heading did you find them? That sounds like a neat idea.
Thanks

I have "objects in mirror are mustangs" on my driversider mirror. The guy who makes all those decals is great. He takes a bit to respond because he is extremely busy, but he makes quality stuff.

I would like to get "Objects in Mirror Disappear Quickly" I wanted to put it on the passenger side mirror, but with the factory etching, I'm not sure it's possible.

I just ordered the "objects in mirror are losing" one. I only plan to put it on my drivers side. I don't think you can put it on the passenger mirror.

You probably could, it would just look funny having two messages on the mirror. I gave my other one to my girlfriend and she put it on her corrola

I remember reading a while back that some have replaced the mirror with the factory etching to one that didn't have it just to put the "Objects In Mirror" stuff.

Has anyone here ever done this before?
I think it would be cool! It would be worth venturing out to a salvage yard and getting a passenger side mirror to see how hard it would be to remove the mirror (w/o breaking) to use as a template and have one made.

Could give it a try. I don't think a junk yard would want that much for one to begin with anyway.
