Change 98 odometer lighting color

I think you are referring to changing the backlighting colors of the speedo, odometer, etc.

Inferno,
My 98 TA the cluster has a red film( kind of painted on ) that you can not just peel off.
The bulbs twist out & they are a 194.
The way I changed my color was I purchased a cluster for a 98 Z ( must be a 98 )
Purchased the LEDs . The only thing I had to do was find a film for the odom. ( as the 98 Z had a red film in it )

The red crap from the back


The red crap shining through....I was holding it in the air at my ceiling fan light.


All the idiot lights DON'T have a film. They get their color from the LED behind them.


99+ don't have any red film over the ODO


No red film here either. The red comes from the 3 SMD LED's

I'm assuming 98 clusters are internally different than the 99+ ?
primarily speaking about the odo lighting ??
