Default Aftermarket steering wheels?

Does anyone know where I can get a aftermarket steering wheel for my 02 camaro I looked on the grant site and it said their steering wheels won't fit a airbag steering column.

I have a grant on mine, just a random simple black one i got from i think Autozone.

you just have to get the right adapter kit, i'll save you a shitload of time and money by telling you its the one for the newest GMC truck, late 80-early 90's or soemthing i forget.

Does anyone know why it wouldn't fit? I don't want airbags so I am going to take them out and put in a steering wheel that I could use to activate my nitrous.

I just installed a Grant "signature series" wheel from Checker Auto parts. They don't sell an adapter kit for any car with an air bag, probably because they don't want to be sued for you removing the air bag. I decided to try their "GM Billet" kit #5196-1, and it worked out great. The only special thing I did was machine about 40 thousandths off the bell so it doesn't rub on the steering column. You could also just grind it down a bit if you don't want to lathe cut it.

see, the problem with aftermarket steering wheels is if you put in a steering wheel to replace one that previously did, the airbag light will stay on. this can be fixed if you find the amount of resistance the actual airbag unit had in it. if you find this, you can just add a resitor and the light will go off because the vehicle's computer thinks there is an airbag.

Yes, I used a 2 ohm resister, and this is the value others have used as well. I just clipped the leads short and soldered it accross the yellow and black wires. Presto, no more airbag light.

I have a Billet Specialties "Alien" steering wheel. I love it, I get so many compliments on it. It has that "Badd ***" attitude look.

I went with a Sparco Ring wheel with the 2 button add-on and the quick release:

Yeah the Evolution wheel is from the signature series, so it will fit just like mine did with the GM Billet" kit #5196-1.

Did the installation kit come with a horn kit too? If it doesn't what kit would I have to buy to get the horn to work?

Yes, mine included everything I needed. I used the stock horn wire and wiper though, rather than the one included in the kit.

John, you can't see from the picture, but it's right on top of the B&M shifter.
