[/IMG].I got this hatch at a local junkyard for $45 and on the way home the corner broke, I was wondering if this can be fixed and how much it would cost to repair it.
I dunno about cost right if hand but that's not a hard fix.
1. Take off the wing
2. Take a drimmel and grind a valley were the crack is and sand around the area
3. Drill small holes on both sides of cracks
4.brush on some fiberglass reason on it then lay some mat down on it use more reason on topit if need be
5.sand that smooth and fill it in with some kitty hair
Its really not as hard as it sounds and I think you got a good find

Its really not as hard as it sounds and I think you got a good find
do not use fiberglass, the hatch is made from SMC plastic, fiberglass will not adhere correctly and will eventually bubble and crack. Look up repair procedures on SMC and go from there, i always use panelbond adhesive from 3M.

Thanks for all the advice, to bad it got damaged coming home from the junkyard because all it needed was to be sanded down and repainted. Il see what I can do with the repair, im not realy a auto body guy.
the cracked spots sure do look like fiberglass, is that smc plastic similar to fiberglass in the way it looks

Well i am, and from experience use panel bonding adhesive, its available at any bodyshop supply and will do the job and last forever, and if you want to you could take it to a bodyshop and have them fix and paint it for you.
