I used a dye grinder to get all the rough edges off and sort of smooth it out. Then I wetsanded it progressively going to a smoother paper starting out with 200 grit I think (don't remember). I then progressively went to a smoother sandpaper to make it really smooth. Once all of the marks from the rough paper are gone, then you can mive on to a smoother paper. The smoother and flatter the surface is, the better the reflection properties will be. Then I got a Dremel after it polishing it smooth with Mother's Aluminum polish. That's pretty much the idea of it. I get a lot of compliments on them.

They acutally stay cleaner than painted calipers. Mine used to be painted and it seemed as though the paint kind of absorbed the brake dust. I was wasting my time washing them, they stayed dirty. Now all I have to do is wipe them off and they're good as new. And all I have covering them is the polish I used to get them to bling.
