Experience painting interior pieces?
Experience painting interior pieces? For us 98-99 owners with the dark gray interiors, it's next to impossible to obtain brand new, GM interior pieces. Whether for a restoration project, or to simply have as spares in the future.
However, the ebony interior pieces appear to be readily available. (Center consoles, the ever so hard to find arm rest, everything!)
My question is: How good of a job do the pros do at matching the interior colors. So if I purchased the ebony pieces, and wanted them painted to match, what can I expect?
I'm sure some on here have had this done.

You think it's hard to find dark grey interior pieces?
I always found the ebony hard to find because people scoop them up.
I re-painted a few interior pieces tan, as they were looking drab and scuffed.
They look great still in the low traffic areas, but any sort of use, and the paint will flake off eventually.
Basically don't expect it to last.
