Basically getting something under it then it peeling off, putting it on crooked, a piece not sticking, etc. Not okay with that personally. But +1 for stepping up of course.
Sorry not going to happen otherwise. It isn't hard at all just time consuming which we don't have at the moment and definitely not for that price. I guess we could offer it installed at a higher amount...

All you have to do though is apply it just like tint. Get some dish soap (small amount) in a squirt bottle, add water, spray onto lens, apply, slide around however you need to (if you applied wrong the first time) and squeegee...

Thank you for steping up. If I had the skill/confidence I'd pay but I wont risk a good honeycomb set. Good opportunity for someone who has the skill/time to make these.

Anybody out there need a job/money.

I'm too used to Facebook, I keep trying to "like" posts, lol...

There is no one who even makes stock replacements is there? Hmmm...

Seriously I want to do something like that on my Camaro at some point. If only a one-off set of lenses didn't cost so darn much.

Time to put your money where your mouth is ...

https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...l#post17887605

This thread is 22 pages long... If there is any REAL interest we should hit our ten by the end of the month no problem, if not, we're cancelling the project.

I can't get the options function to work for some reason tonight but we'll offer the HONEY COMB VINYL in black for an extra $40, installed for $100 (that includes the vinyl).

The vinyl.

So...

$300 for the lenses
$40 for the vinyl
or $400 for the lenses with vinyl installed.

Local guy who used to do our lights said he'll install the lenses for $200. So, pricey but for those who want to spend $600 turn key... you have to mail your lenses in first though, obviously we have no cores, lol.

For a truly limited product, thats really not that much. Lots of guys spend crazy amounts of money on these cars and these tails are a mod that separates your car from the rest.

I want to see a complete set 1st & then decide if I want to buy them. I have 2 Trans Am's, so I would want a complete set for both that I can just Install. I don't want to deal with installing the vinyl.
I sent Klearz a message on Facebook, Doesn't look like this is going to happen with him. His response.

"Still sitting on the shelf. Too busy with other projects right now. I'll make a decision in early Jan in regards to carrying on with the project or not. It is a massive time and financial investment."

Bump it up.

Has anyone bought the clear lenses yet? I want to do a set, but I'll have to pick up a set of 93-97 tails... Im not messing with my stock honeycombs.

Heres a question: Does the vinyl install on the inside or outside of the lense? I'd be afraid of something knicking the vinyl if its on the outside.

They are being made. It's in another thread. The vinyl is on the inside.
