When I had my vette I put the Hurst black ball in there and was really liking it on the street. Went to the track and decided it was terrible after missing a shift a few times because my sweaty hand would slip right off on the 2-3 shift. Swapped it for a c6 **** at the track and never looked back.
The c6 **** feels awesome in your hand and gives you good grip. Best **** even compared to cobras IMO.
Edit: Pistol grips are cool, although I've never used one, but they just look silly.

Yeah i like how leather doesn't slip. I've noticed when driving other cars (usually while backing up fast or something like that) non-leather steering wheels really suck! I think for racing leather is the way to go, longevity..that's another story..lol

Nice wife ... definitely the kind to have. Everytime I talk about another bike, my wife says, "so what are you going to sell to get it". I fixed her ... we sold her SLK350 because she thought it was too small. We traded a G35S sedan 5 months ago for the SLK and now we sold the SLK and we found her a G37S coupe after an exhausting search. Now she is very happy .... remember, "a happy wife is a happy life". Hmmmm, what color Street Glide should I get .... lol!

It does indeed lol. The bird on the **** didn't line up straight when threaded all the way on as well. I ended up putting 5 or 6 washers in the shift **** so the bird would be lined up.

You can buy them already threaded for the F-body on ebay but i just found a used one for like $70 cheaper out of a c6 and put it on myself. Everyone says you have to drill and tap it but I literally just lined it up and screwed it on with force. Cut its own threads. It is on super tight too and I have removed it multiple times without it getting loose.
