So... how big of a commitment are you guys willing to make to this?

Before you answer keep in mind that a good set of quarters & fenders are gonna run in the +- $2500 range, then depending on the body shop that does the work you are looking at anywhere from $3500- $7000 to instal & repaint the car.... then you have to think about wheels & tires, after all that your not just gonna throw a set of 10" wide vette wheels with spacers on it are you? If not you will be looking at another $3000-$5000 for a nice set of wide custom offset wheels & tires.

Not to mention unless your making an ungodly amount of power (to be able to back up the look ) consider the flaming that you will probably face on here on tech (Trust me, people either LOVE or HATE my car & they are usually pretty vocal about it whether its been asked for or not.) lol.

....So who's still in?

True...

I'm not trying to discourage anybody or anything, just being honest, I couldn't find anybody willing / able to give advise when I did mine so I didn't know exactly what I was getting into or the real cost involved. That being said I would ABSOF@CKINGLUTLEY do it again lol.

Yes, its getting real paint soon. Finally figured out exactly what I want to do, just need to find time to finish up all the slight changes to the body work & get it ready.

What about a copy of those wide body fenders and quarters that used to be on eBay a while back. Those were relatively cost effective because they just attatched to the original body parts. I think they were around 500 bucks for all 4 pieces if remember correctly..Probably took a lot of work to install but it may be a good option..

I love the look, but I can't ever see myself justifying the cost.
