Default Automatic Shift ****

I searched and reviewed other threads without a clear answer.

Can i put a T/A automatic shifter on a 2002 Z/28?

I'm thinking yes, but some assurance would be nice before I pop on one on eBay.

Most all of the GM shifters that are this style are interchangable. I'm running a caddy shifter in my Z28.

I'm gonna pop on the cheap plastic T/A one to see how it feels.

Then I'll get a good leather one at a JY...

fyi, Grand Am, Impalas, and Monte Carlos from the early 00's all have the same shifter and boot. The boots, fit perfectly into our auto consoles too.

You can get an adapter that will let you use any manual shift ****. I think afterthoughts still sells them. I have one I got from ws6store ages ago that I run a Hurst T handle on. You just push the whole **** down to shift.
