Default Working on a few things for my engine bay.

So car show season is here and I decided to try and clean up my engine bay a little bit. I'm installing a cam and valve springs soon so I figured this would be a good time to do a few projects I've been waiting on.

I have always wanted some of the covers (battery, ecu, brake fluid, etc) that companies like YoFab and Emblem Pros have, but they're pretty pricey (no offence guys) and I never got some. So I recently just decided to make some! I'm using some aluminum my dad had laying around from his business, which is working pretty well. They will end up being painted black. Here are some pics of what I have so far.

Here are some fuse box covers I mocked up. Just to be clear, *THIS IS NOT THE FINISHED PRODUCT*

Before...

After...

And here's a pcm cover I made. I'm not sure if I like it or not. I might try something a little different if I remake it.

Before...

After...

Next up will be the battery cover, then the brake fluid reservoir and possible the power steering fluid reservoir. And about the battery cover... you guys think it should just be black, or should I get a decal or paint "SS" on it or something. Pictures would be great too!

Here's a list of what else I would like to do:
-wire mod
-hide the ground wires
-egr delete
-paint the ugly greyish-black plastic piece around the hood latch
-either paint or remove windshield wiper fluid reservoir
-paint valve covers black (I've already painted my coils red)

Tell me what you guys think! Other ideas are welcome!

you are on the right track, I got all my covers from Roger @ emblempros, simply because they have the etching of what is on the factory fuse box lids, and the battery was completely customizable with whatever I wanted on it. Do the wire mod, EGR delete (big stupid hose on driver's side), paint the plastic bumper support piece by the hatch, and you can take the wiper reservoir out, I did since I never use mine anyways. I think it will look real good when you finish it up.

no, it's the black plastic cylinder by the battery that has wires coming across the motor to it. My painter is moving mine before he shoots the engine bay...

I like the pcm cover. Maybe get the polished stainless steel bolt kit to match everything else.

Well my traction control must already be moved because it's not there lol. Here's a blurry picture but unless I'm completely missing it, it's not there.

Is it possible yours didn't come with traction control? I don't see it in the pic, and not sure how the camaros are, but on the t/as there's a traction control on/off button inside.

I'm not sure either, but I know I don't have a button. Weird...

Anyways I made a little progress today! I mocked up a battery cover. I'm trying to figure out what to put on it. It'll probably be something along the lines of "Camaro SS" or whatever. I'll keep you guys updated.

Before...

After... Still needs to be welded and painted.

Here's a couple shots of the shop that I thought looked cool. That's my dad's 67 in the back. Like father like son!

your car is nice but that 67 is just sick,i would also polish your ac stuff if your going to keep it on,relocate the ground wires, and if ya wanted to get crazy you could repaint the engine bay, but if its in good shape or even decent i would wait for when ever you do a motor swap ,just easier to do a better job when the motor is not in the way, also i have seen covers that cover the headlight area as well, or you can paint the back of the lights black, can also polish things such as the tb,fuel rails, abs block, and the pipe that connects to the rad,i forget what it is called but i just got done polishing that, but then i didnt like it and painted it black, im also in the process of getting my lid airbrushed n painted, just some ideas for ya, also maybe get some nice bolts to fill in those holes,or get some emblem made to cover them

You don't have traction control, which is called ASR on Camaros.

If you don't have a switch for traction control, then your car didn't come with it. Most of the stuff that you're doing is along the same line as what I plan to do with my car. You mentioned deleting the EGR, so you might as well delete the AIR system as well.

If you want some extra ideas, maybe paint your intake or fill in those pointless holes around and including where the ground wires currently are, and clean up that AC accumulator and the lines that run from your brake fluid reservoir to the brake control module.

As for an update on some of the covers, I made my brake fluid reservoir cover today. I welded all of the ones I have but I don't have any pictures.

Here is the before/after shot.

I think I will start on the wire mod next. Any advice?
