Do a search. Do a search. Do a search. This topic has been covered so many times it's ridiculous.

BitViper is what you will find everyone has, great quality. I tried just a shorter stock and lost reception bad, with bitViper I barely lost any if any at all!

BitViper's shorty on mine. I pretty much solely got it for the look, but it still has great reception because it has a loaded base on the antenna.

those machined face DD's look good! ive got chrome on my white car, i also just cut my antenna, no loss in reception at all and looks great, just use a dremel and cut it in a dividend of the stock one, you're good to go, took about 5-10 minutes

Shoot I'm still rockin your antenna too. Been on there at least 5-6yrs now. Never had a single issue & I believe I was one of the first people to swap from the electric antenna on my TA to this antenna. I remember walking countless people through the install via PM, LOL.

Sad to say I am ok with my retractable. I know at some point it will break, I'll have to keep an eye out for a spare.

I have a $10 antenna that I got at O'rielly's, I lost some reseption and cant hear the out of town stations anymore but it picks up the few local stations we have just fine. Its about even with the roof line also.

But for real though the best one to me is when people cut the stock one down.

I haven't lost any reception by cutting my antenna, course I stay in town mostly anyways. Plus I hardly listen to radio, I hook up my ipod or listen to cd's more than anything
