just cut the factory one looks good and very simple to do cut mine to 8"

Just make sure you cut it a multiple of the original length... I think the OEMis ~32 in.. so 16.. 8.. 4 etc.. and the shorter you cut it the more "problematic" you reception is going to be.. Remember to save the ball on the end cuz you can glue it back on..

I put the BitViper antenna on mine a couple of years ago, I like the way it looks and the reception is good.

One thing I noticed is that I got a base for it out of a 94 Camaro, and the antenna doesn't fit all the way flush with the base. There is about a 1/16 inch gap. But don't get me wrong, I like that antenna
