Default What undercoating have you guys used?

I just bought a 2001 SS as a project car. With everything out I would like to clean up the underside and lay down a nice undercoating. There is no rust anywhere on the car, it's more just to clean everything up and seal the bottom of the car for the future. POR 15 may be a bit much for this??

Thanks

I have used POR-15 (on a Jeep), and Rust Bullet Automotive on my T/A

I have had good luck with the 3M proffessional brand- avail at local auto parts stores.

Goes on much smoother than most brands I have seen. I used it on several of my cars.

I've thought about applying an undercoat, but have read numerous times that they can trap moisture and actually do more harm than good.

Anybody have anything to say about that?

My friend and I rattle canned the underneath of my TA and the wheel wells. A year later the wheel wells still look great but some of the undercoating on the bottom seems to have worn off. I got some kind of spray on truck bed lines from Advanced Auto.
As far as the undercoating trapping moisture, I would think as long as the car is dry when you spray it on there shouldn't be a problem with moisture. Just make sure to scrape of the surface rust first.
