Let's see the clearance between the caliper and wheel! I bet it's tight.

it's been a waiting game, that's for sure! i can't wait either, they look good suspended in the air, so i can only imaging how they're going to look with the suspension loaded. Stay tuned, they day will come! lol

yeah buddy, so right, that it won't fit! i've gotta run a 15mm spacer up front to clear the calipers.

thanks buddy. you're 427 z was nasty, sad to see it go. all your details blow my mind. I'll pick up a nice polishing kit with a PC, and go to town once i get this project finished.

on another note, the light is far from visible at the end of the tunnel, but it's one step at a time. I think i've got this frame rail pretty straight, and blocked out, so i threw some primer on it, and sure enough it's straight enough for me to be comfortable with, so it's rattle canned filler primer untill it gets professionally finished. ON to the next frame rail, then each area in the engine bay untill i get it all finished. it's going to be a while, but i think i'm going to invest in a nice air compressor, so i can make my life a tad easier.

I also picked up a used AMW catch can from "GOGO" on here, and it showed up today, I'll replace the barbed fitting with -6an fittings for all my vacuum lines with the catch can/pcv system on the motor, but it looks pretty nice, and it's a high quality peice. i'm really happy with the can so far! we'll see how it works once this things running.

keep the comments coming guys! thanks for all the positive inputs.

yeah, i would never attempt what i'm doing with the motor in the car. Good Luck to you man! especially when i can drop a motor out of these cars in what seems like a few mins now. lol Yeah, check out his website, just google AMW catch can, and it should come up. he makes red, blue, black, and silver like mine.

on a slightly different note I changed out the dreadful two incandesent light bulb fixture in my garage that seemed about the light output of a candle on a birthday cake, and installed a flouresent light fixture, and what a difference.
also added some company to the garage, my buddy's miata that will soon get some meat to it.

The car is getting incredibly dusty! and we gave it a sweet flame job.

haha, yeah... welding, grinding, sanding doesn't treat the garage/car very well in cleanliness.

finished up my catch can setup.
heated and pull out the factory barb on the valley cover, and tapped it for 1/8"npt fitting which it was already the perfect size for, ran a dremel under where the fitting goes for addition clearance when tightening it up, and viola. cut and installed some hose ends, and i've got a super clean install. enjoy.

i only had to use one hose clamp on the intake manifold, but it's one of those that looks like an AN fitting, so it blends nicely.

not a whole lot of motivation to sand on the bay lately, so i tackled a few other things as of lately.

pick up a set of yella terra rocker arms, and threw those in temporarily untill i measure and get correct length push rods...

I also painted the base of my IAC valve that was pretty corroded when i got it, just a nice flat black to match the TPS, although i didn't get a defined picture of that in particular. I also through some polish on my throttle body which was used, so it was looking kinda shabby. it cleaned up alot nicer, and really pops on the motor now. I took my digital caliper, and measured it also.. a little bigger than 102mm.

full motor shots for drools...

AND i'm just now realizing something has to be done about that damn yellow dipstick.. looking into a billet one from CBR, and may pull the triger for a couple bucks.

and despite the little motivation on sanding in the engine bay, i got a good amount of the other frame rail knocked out, with only a few spots to address.. it'll come together sooner or later.

What fuel lines are you using to connect the rails? And what rails are you running?

I cannot wait to drive this thing, it'll be clean, but it will definitly not just be a garage queen.

The fuel lines are all -6 stainless braided line from the tank to the front in the engine bay it's black nylon braided line like one the fuel rails. It just connects to the other stainless line under the fender. I'm running torrent billet fuel rails from Hinson performance.
