Chroming?
Chroming? My place in Tenn. that I used to send parts shut down anyone know of a good place that has quick turnaround that can chrome parts or do mirror like polishing? Thanks

I tried this guy on this thread recommendation. Do not waste your time with this one. Over the past two weeks I have been told my stuff has shipped on three different dates???? I have asked for this tracking three times. He says his wife has it and he will call me back "which never happens". When you can get him on the phone the standard answer is "Let me ask my wife I will call you back in 30 minutes". I now have to remake some orders for customers and send them to Advanced Plating, who I should have stuck with in the first place. His prices are the same as Advanced, not less. However the bonus with advanced is you really get your parts back!! Already one month old on these parts.
If you know him, why don't you call him and get me my damn parts!!!! I would appreciate it very much.
If and when I get them, I will let you now how good the work really is. Stay tuned.......... Maybe he can cast a "Chrome wizards" spell on my parts and they will magically appear.

Parts did arrive today. I have not examined them yet.
These were shipped out on Monday night, after I was already told three previous times they had already shipped.
I asked for the tracking information those 3 times and never did get it, because there was none.
When my customers call me looking for parts, I pass on information that I believe to be true. However when information is not true, I end up unwillingly participating in the false information.
I spent time on numerous phonecalls, emails, thread posts, faxes, etc...
Knowing exactly what the situation was, I could have dealt with "if I would have been told". For the time and aggravation, this was a loss for me.
You can use your judgement though.

So is advanced the place to send stuff to if i cant find anyone local?everyone wants to save a dollar these days but i dont wanna look at my car for a month waiting on parts
Yes. However, even they are 2-4 weeks depending on what their schedule is.
We have been using Advanced for about a year, and have had zero issues.
