Default Would you trade?

Alright, I know theres been a few others ask this in the past but I have a guy willing to trade me a VFN 3'' SS hood for my factory SS hood. Mine is fully painted and in nice shape and the VFN is unpainted. Im just finishing up my 408, T56 and rear end. Also im gonna be putting my 6LE front bumper on with it all. Im trying to figure out if it would look good on my car. Car is also lowered now so please ignore the 4x4 stance in the pics and the over all bad pics.

I love the look of the factory SS hood, just my opinion. Plus you may/may not have fit issues and you have to prep/paint it.

I wanted to just buy it out right and keep my factory hood for the fact that I may not necessarily like it on my set up and id be able to go back to stock. But he wants to trade to have something to put back on.

I know there's the look factor as well but my big thing about the High Rise SS hood is is it really needed for the extra space it has. They look good don't get me wrong but if it's not needed, then I would just keep the factory SS hood and roll with it.

Hell no. The only reason I would put one of those big *** hoods on my car is if I had some crazy intake setup that needed the space. But IMO it looks terrible, obviously that's just my personal taste, some people would like it.

Not a fan of the bloated SS hood.

Either keep the stock hood or get a Sunoco or something similar for the larger hood look.

I miss my stock ss hood alot, i wouldnt get rid of it, the 3 inch ss hood is a really nice hood but im starting to feel it only looks great on a race car, that being said i would trade my artic white 3 inch ss hood for a sunoco,or oem ss hood all ready painted in artic white n perfect shape and must be close to my area

Why didn't VFN make a stock appearing SS hood to begin with? They make a stock appearing WS6 hood.

And if its due to the amount of aftermarket SS hoods already out, they could have cornered the market with a decent fitting one(provided they could pull that off). And plus there is just as many WS6 replicas out there in the aftermarket.

This rant is mostly because I have had 2 stock appearing SS hoods fit like absolute dog ****.

I dont think the 3inch ss hood fits bad at all, there is one spot that seems they all have issues with but for an aftermarket hood it fits very well, most forget its a fiberglass race car hood
